Roberta Jones, 81, of Dexter, Mo., died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2004, at Cypress Point Health Care in Dexter.
Born Nov. 7, 1922, daughter of the late Rupert and Lillie Wilson Martin, she was a school teacher.
On Dec. 21, 1945, she married Chester Jones, who preceded her in death on Aug. 3, 1979. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Jospeh Franklin, Herbert Wayne, Bobby Leon and Joe Martin and three sisters, Marceline Hutson, Julia Kilburn and Rita Ann Martin.
Survivors include one son, Rodney Wayne Jones and wife, Connie, of Jefferson City, Mo.; one daughter, Janet Lyn Webb and husband, Richard, of Kennett; two brothers, J.T. Martin, of Kennett and Jerry Paul Martin, of Las Vegas, Nev. and four grandchildren, Derrick and Dustin Jones, both of Jefferson City and Matthew and Timothy Webb, both of Kennett.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today, Tuesday, Jan. 20, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Larry Dugger officiating.
Burial was in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers were Gary Marchbanks, John Mawell, Larry Martin, Tim and Matthew Webb and John McMullan.
