W.F. "Butch" Provance, Jr., 48. of Malden, Mo., died Friday, Jan. 16, 2004, at Piggott Community Hosptial in Piggott, Ark.
Born Aug. 31, 1955, in Owatonna, Minn., son of William Franklin Provance and the late Jean Clark Provance, he worked as a hospital dietary aide and was a member of the Mt. Gilead General Baptist Church in Clarkton, Mo.
Survivors include his father and step-mother, W.F. "Buck" Provance, Sr. and wife, Liz, of Malden; a grandmother, Edna Provance, of Malden; two sisters, Synthia J. Jackson and husband, Dan, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. and Sharon L. Evenson and husband, John, of Greentown, Ind. and one step-brother, Mark Gowan and wife, Helle, of Plano, Texas.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Brian Provance.
Funeral services were held at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Malden with the Rev. Anthony Dowdy officiating.
Burial was in the Rosewood Cemetery-1st Addition in Malden.
