Helen Lavora Comer, 84, of Campbell, Mo., died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2004, at Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, Ark.
Born Feb. 28, 1919, in Conway, Ark., daughter of the late J.C. King and Cora Seller King, she was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Campbell.
On Nov. 23, 1935, in St. Francis, Ark., she married Manuel Baine "Bob" Comer, who preceded her in death on Jan. 24, 1991. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Irene Baker and two brothers, Billy and Marvin King.
Survivors include one son, Claud Comer and wife, Betty, of Bettendorf, Iowa; one daughter, Shirley Patrick, of Jefferson City, Mo.; four sisters, Edith Moffitt, Eva Lee Matchett, Lois Bond and Jeanette Bradley; one brother, Bobby King; four grandchildren, Jeff Pattrick, Kim Crews, Stephanie Ruby and Steven Comer and four great-great-grandchildren, Brittany and Bailey Patrick, Melanie Comer and Kyle Ruby.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 18, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Gatewood officiating.
Burial will follow at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Campbell.
