Wilma Louise Arnold Thompson, 91, of Armington, Ill., died Friday, Jan. 9, 2004, at Pekin Living & Rehab in Pekin, Ill.
Born Nov. 5, 1912, in Senath, Mo., daughter of the late Bert Thomas and Osia Small Arnold, she was cook and of the Baptist faith.
She married Charlie Gordon, who preceded her in death. On Nov. 9, 1935, in Cottonwood Point, Mo., she married Leroy Thompson, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Sylvania Michaels and two grandchildren.
Survivors include three sons, Richard Thompson and wife, Pat, of Groveland, Ill., David Thompson and wife, Jenny, of Holland, Mich. and Harold Thompson and wife, Shirley, of Colt, Ark.; three daughters, Berdean Bond and husband, Harold, of Armington, Osia Gonzales and husband, John, of Progresso Lake, Texas and Lora Henderson, of Crystal River, Fla.; two sisters, Alma Stovall, of St. Joseph, Ill. and Bertie Lou Newman, of Missouri; three brothers, James Arnold, of Marion, Ill., Thomas Arnold, of Kennett and Harold Arnold, of Bethalto, Ill.; 19 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, at the Bradshaw-Powell Funeral Home in Steele, Mo.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, at the Bradshaw-Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Mousie officiating.
Burial will follow at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele.
