Lida Irene Douglass, 91, of Malden, Mo., died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2004, at the Ridgeview Nursing Center in Malden.
Born Feb. 13, 1912, in Hornersville, Mo., daughter of the late Walter and Florence Shaffer Ruffin, she was former manager of Green's Dress Shop in Malden. She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Malden, past member of the Malden Music Club and the Malden Culture Club.
On Oct. 5, 1930, in Hornersville, she married Allen Price Douglass, who preceded her in death on Dec. 14, 1978. She was also preceded in death by one son, Allen Douglass; one daughter, Joann Douglass; four brothers, Sanford, Earl, Anderson and Bond Ruffin and two sisters, Josie Langdon and Margaret Bailey.
Survivors include one granddaughter, Angie Douglass, of Malden; one grandson, David Douglass and wife, Jenni, of Broken Arrow, Okla.; one great-grandson, Jordan Douglass, of Broken Arrow; a daughter-in-law, Sandy Douglass, of Piedmont, Mo. and a sister-in-law, Marge Douglass, of Senath, Mo.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today, Tuesday, Jan. 13, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, at the First Southern Baptist Church with the Rev. Ernie Nelson officiating.
Burial will follow at the Senath Cemetery.
