Sylvia Martin Norwood, 67, of Gideon, Mo., died Sunday, Jan. 4, 2004, at the Ridgeview Nursing Center.
Born March 17, 1936, in Pleasant Plains, Ark., daughter of the late Walter Augusta and Edna Vivian White Hays, she worked at Federal Mogul and attended Freewill Baptist Church in Malden, Mo.
Survivors include three brothers, J. T. Hays, of Clarkton, Mo., Alvin Hays, of Morrisville, Mo. and Bill Hays, of Hasting, Mich,; two sisters, Sue Kinnin, of Bradenton, Fla. and Virginia Langley, of Holly, Mich. and two nephews, Dwight Turner, of St. Louis, Mo. and Wendell Turner, of Bernie, Mo.
She was preceded in death by one son, William Harry "Bill" Schneider.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 5, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Malden with the Rev. Richard Blagg officiating.
Burial was in the Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden.
