Elizabeth Turner, 87, of White Cloud, Mich., formerly of Kennett, died Friday, Jan. 2, 2004, at Gerber Memorial Health Service in Fremont, Mich.
Born Nov. 5, 1916, in Russellville, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Joe and Kitty Louise Simmons Farmer.
On June 23, 1942, in Vancouver, Wash., she married Melvin Carl Turner, who preceded her in death in 1971. She was also preceded in death by one son, Jimmy Lee Turner and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include two sons, Bobby Dean Turner and wife, Chris, of Wyoming, Mich. and Carl Turner and wife, Dena, of Holland, Mich.; four daughters, Martha Gaines, of White Cloud, Virginia Gail Alley and husband, Jerry, of Marston, Mo., Betty Deulna, of Raytown, Texas and Elizabeth Ann Kaminski and husband, Jim, of West Olive, Mich.; four sisters, Ruby Davison, of Lilbourn, Mo., Ruth Stevens, of Michigan City, Ind., Jessie Stevens, of Blytheville, Ark. and Kattie Gardner, of Truman, Ark.; 20 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. today, Tuesday, Jan. 6, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Revs. B.J. Baldwin and Troy Alley officiating.
Burial was in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers were Jerry and Junior Haynes, Ralph Prince, Robert McCoy, Robert Cook and Robert Clay.
