Thomas Lee Palmer, Sr., 74, of Midwest City, Okla., died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003, at Manor Health Center.
Born Saturday, Jan. 26, in Bragg City, Mo., a son of the late Cass Monroe and Bessie Belora Palmer, he worked in construction.
In 1945 he married Lola M. Pulliam who survives.
Also surviving are eight daughters, Ola Evans of Kansas City, Mo., Flora Payne and Ethel Beauford and husband, Willie, all of Benton Harbor, Mich., Bessie Harris and husband, William, of Alton, Ill., Sarah Hentzy, Pam Johnson and husband, Ralph, all of Midwest City, Gloria Porter and husband, Connie, of Phoenix, Ariz., Faye Cashie and husband, Moon, of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one son, Thomas Palmer Jr. and wife, Dee, of Houston, Texas; five sisters, Levolia White, Lela Pearl Pulliam and Pearlie Mister all of Kennett, Johnnie Mae Hardy of Chicago, Ill. and Eartha Bethea of Benton Harbor; two brothers, Joe Palmer and James Palmer and wife, Tom, all of Benton Harbor; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. today, Sunday, Jan. 4, at Victory Temple Church of God in Christ, under direction of Bradshaw Funeral Home of Kennett.
Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett.
Grandsons and sons-in-law will serve as pallbearers.
