H.L. "Buster" Randolph, 87, of Gideon, Mo., died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2004, at the Gideon Care Center.
Born Feb. 13, 1916, in Malden, Mo., son of the late Owen and May Meadows Randolph, he was a farmer, worked for the ASCS, New Madrid Co., served on the Gideon School Board and also served on the New Madrid County Ambulance Board. He was a member and deacon at the Stanfield General Baptist Church in Gideon.
On Sept. 16, 1939, in Malden, he married Nina Lucille Walker, who preceded him in death on Jan. 4, 2003. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Edna LaBrot; three brothers, James, Junior and Bob Randolph and one granddaughter, Vicki Hargraves.
Survivors include three sons, Carroll "Buddy" Randolph and wife, Karen and Dencel Randolph and wife, Jeanette, all of Gideon and Larry Randolph and wife, Carolyn, of Rogers, Ark.; two daughters, Savannah Hargraves and husband, Darrell, of Wasilla, Alaska and Arvilla Early, of Bernie, Mo.; two sisters, Marie Thomas, of Portageville, Mo. and Sarah Woolverton, of Malden; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Andy Evans and Kenneth Kennedy officiating.
Burial will follow at the Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton, Mo.
