John C. Grubb, 75, of Boydsville, Ark., died Monday, Dec. 29, 2003, at Piggott, Ark.
Born Jan. 31, 1927, in Boydsville, son of the late Clarence and Ida Grubb, he was a veteran, having served in WWII. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Grubb, of Boydsville; one son, Buster Grubb, of Boydsville; four daughters, Retha Booth, of Jonesboro, Ark., Diane Shelton, of Success, Ark., Martha Anders, of Peach Orchard, Ark. and Dotty Spinks, of Clarksdale, Miss.; one brother, Virgil Grubb, of Boydsville; two sisters, Mary Ellen Parker, of Paragould, Ark. and Mavis Evans, of Missouri; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters; one grandson and one great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 1, 2004, at Mitchell Funeral Home in Rector, Ark.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 2, at the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with Jerry Massey and Wayne Baldwin officiating.
Burial will follow at the Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector.
