Lois Rose Shrader, 92, of Hayti, Mo., died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.
Born Dec. 22, 1911, in LaMonte, Mo., daughter of the late Josie and George Price Rose, she was a homemaker, a school teacher, member of the Hayti United Methodist Church, Hayti Women's Club and the Hayti Garden Club. She was co-founder of the Girl Scouts in Hayti.
On March 8, 1935, in Piggott, Ark., she married John Wesley Shrader, Jr., who preceded her in death on March 30, 1989. She was also preceded in death by two brothers; three sisters and one granddaughter, Angela Cento.
Survivors include one son, John Wesley Sharder, III, of Hayti; one daughter, Harriet Cento and husband Don, of Sikeston; and one grandson, Don Cento, Jr., of Dallas, Texas.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Hayti with the Rev. Sue Cubbage officiating.
Pallbearers were Herbert DeWeese, Jim Cook, Mark Carter, Joe Cento, Don Cento, Sr. and Don Cento, Jr.
