Helen Mavis Lemonds, 65, of Kennett, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born March 8, 1938, in Kennett, daughter of the late John Van Buren and Lemah Lavadna Hatch Marshall, she was a registered nurse.
On Aug. 19, 1959, she married Dale Lemonds, who survives.
Survivors also include one son, Trent Lemonds and wife, Gayle, of Savannah, Ga.; one daughter, Tracey Lemonds, of Kennett; four brothers, Willis Buren Marshall and wife, Margaret, of Orville, Ala., Eddie Lloyd Marshall and wife, Sue, of Clarkton, Mo. and Terry Marshall and wife, Marlene and Hal D. Marshall, all of Collinsville, Ill.; two sisters, Emma Lavadna Hines and husband, Tom, of Collinsville and B. Magdaline Benson and husband, Tony, of Oconomowoc, Wis. and three grandchildren, Maggie, Cecil and Cooper Lemonds.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with Jerry Snow officiating.
