Jesse Lee Lesley, 72, of Bernie, Mo., died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Born Sept. 3, 1931, in Gideon, Mo., son of the late William Fincher and Ivy Pearl Dodson Lesley, he is a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force.
On March 5, 1954, in Poplar Bluff, Mo., he married Irma Jean Evans who survives.
Other survivors are three daughters, Cynthia Lesley, of Bernie, Sandra Griffith of Bardstown, Ky. and Patricia Webb of Elizabethtown, Ky.; three sons, William Lesley, of Bernie; Charles Lesley and Steven Lesley, both of Dexter, Mo.; one brother, Richard Lesley, of Bernie; one sister, Helen Morgan, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Claude Lesley and Edward Lesley and three sisters, Ruby Johns, Nellie Neal and Audrey Jordan.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 29, at Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Malden with the Rev. Jimmy Morgan officiating.
Burial in Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton, Mo.
