Tommie E. Lunceford, 77, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2003, at her residence.
Born July 29, 1926, in Dyer County, Tenn., daughter of the late Tom and Lola Wilson Harrison, she was a member of the Eastwood Memorial United Methodsit Church.
On Nov. 26, 1949, in Piggott, Ark., she married Robert Thobern Lunceford, who preceded her in death on Sept. 18, 1968. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Doris Ann Pollard; four brothers, Ed, H.L., Raymond and Sherril Harrison; four sisters, Charlotte Higgs, Georgia McCullough, Nell Edney and Carlene Murray and one grandson, Robert John Lunceford.
Survivors include one son, Robert Lunceford and wife, Polly, of Caruthersville; one daughter, Brenda Reynolds, of Blytheville, Ark.; two sisters, Jessie Daniels, of La Porte, Ind. and Mattie Belle Wilson, of Newbern, Tenn.; one grandson, Darin Reynolds, of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; three granddaughters, Katie Weems, of Sikeston, Mo., Cherly Wolfenkoehler, of Scott City, Mo. and Brandy Griggs, of Blytheville and two great-grandchildren, Shea Wolfenkoehler, of Scott City and Madalyn Weems, of Sikeston.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home in Caruthersville with the Rev. Dwight Chapman officiating.
Burial was in the Little Prairie Cemetery at Caruthersville.
Pallbearers were Lynn Harrison, Tim Griggs, Howard Thornton, Rick Wolfenkoehler, Darrell Weems and Hank Thornton.
Honorary pallbearers were Eric Smith and Alvin and Chris Cummings.
