Ronald Roy Phelps, 65, of Malden, Mo., died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2003, at Three Rivers Healthcare North in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Born Jan. 8, 1938, in Sturdivant, Mo., son of Velda Jackson Phelps Bray and the late Loren Phelps, he as a veteran, worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Malden. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Malden, Campbell, Master, a Scottish Rite Mason and a St. Louis Shriner.
On July 17, 1964, in Poplar Bluff, he married Dorothy Ann Webb Seeger, who survives.
Survivors also include one son, Rick Seeger, of Kennett; one daughter, Kim Seeger Stokes; his mother, Velda Phelps Bray, of Malden; six grandchildren, Amanda, Luke, Megan, Josh, Sara and Eddie Ray and one great-grandchild, Jacob.
He was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter, Stephanie Dawn Seeger.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden with Masonic Rites at 7 p.m.
Graveside services with military rites will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, at the Rosewood Cemetery in Malden with the Rev. Stan Wood officiating.
The family suggests memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church in Malden.
