Elizabeth George

Elizabeth "Tumpie" Hicks George, 92, of Holland, Mo., died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2003, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Born Jan. 9, 1911, in Holland, daughter of the late Sam R. and Mattie Collins Hicks, she was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

She married Shady George, Jr., who survives.

Survivors also include one son, Samuel Franklin Reeves and wife, Betty, of Davenport, Fla.; adopted daughter, Frankie Richards and husband, Jay, of Texas City, Texas; two granddaughters, Carma Van Lerberg, of Winter Haven, Fla. and Karen Myers, of Lakeland, Fla. and two great-grandsons, Larry Bassett and Cody Myers, both of Lakeland.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Thursday, Dec. 11, at the Bradshaw-Powell Funeral Home in Steele, Mo.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, at the Bradshaw-Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John E. Dunavant officiating.

Burial will follow at the Mr. Zion Cemetery in Steele.
