Karen M. Gilmore, 54, of Hayti, Mo., died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003, at Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Born Jan. 17, 1949, in Caruthersville, Mo., daughter of the late John R. and Inez Murphy Russom, she was a nurse with the Family Counseling Center and a member of the Kinfolks Ridge Baptist Church.
On Sept. 14, 1985, in Caruthersville, she married Billy E. Gilmore, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include one son, Billy E. Gilmore, of Hayti; three step-sons, Jerry Cooper, Michael E. and David L. Gilmore, all of Hayti; one brother, Bobby Joe Russom and wife, Shirley, of Caruthersville; two granddaughters, Payton Alyse and Riley Elaine Gilmore and one one grandson, Trey Allen Meador.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Tuesday, Dec. 9, at the John W. German Funeral Home in Hayti with the Rev. John Keel officiating.
Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemtery at Hayti.
Pallbearers were Travis Meador, Troy Meales, Ronnie and Donnie Branham, David Craig and Jamie Cummings.
