Ruby M. Hamby, 82, of West Plains, Mo., formerly of Kennett and Blytheville, Ark., died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003, at St. Lukes Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.
Born May 17, 1921, in Puxico, Mo., a daughter of the late Andy E. and Nettie M. Wright, she owned several cosmetology schools before retirement.
Survivors include three sons, Leslie Gerald Lakin of Jonesboro, Ark., Edwin Marshall Larkin and wife, Pam, of Yorktown, Va. and George Robert Larkin and wife, Brenda, of Overland Park, Kan.; one daughter, Patricial Loraine Paterson and husband, Doug, of Toronto, Canada; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and extended family, Shirley and Warren Sullivan of West Plains.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Leslie Carrol Larkin and by her second husband, Joe Hamby.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8, at Fairview United Methodist Church near Puxico with Eddie Creech officiating.
Burial will be the Fairview Cemetery near Puxico with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Mo. in charge of arrangements.
