Orville Swinger

Orville Floyd Swinger, 77, of Williamsville, Mo., formerly of Kennett, died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2003, at John J. Pershing VA Hospital in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Born Aug. 24, 1926, in Parma, Mo., he was a U.S. Army veteran and a farmer.

On May 12, 1944, he married Opal Willine Swinger, who survives.

Survivors also include one son, Randy Swinger, of Williamsville; two daughters, Mary Davis and Nancy Ross, both of Kennett; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Betty Short Hall.

A memorial service will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, at the Ruegg Funeral Home in Williamsville.
