Edward E. Arnold, Sr., 90, of Campbell, Mo., died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2003, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Mo.
Born Nov. 3, 1913, at Beech Corner, Mo., a son of the late Bert and Belle Baker Arnold he was a farmer and merchant having owned Arnold's Grocery in Clarkton and was a alderman at Clarkton. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Campbell and served as deacon and Sunday School Superintendent at First Baptist Church in Clarkton.
He married Margaret Elizabeth Dunlap who preceded him in death Dec. 5, 1964. On May 19, 1966, at Malden, Mo., he married Margie Ellen McCormick, who survives.
Survivors include four children, Peggy Jean Rainwater of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Sierra Sue Hickson of Campbell, Krystyn Elizabeth Arnold of Ashville, N.C. and Edward Earl Arnold, Jr. of Dexter; four step-children, Janet Melton of Pineville, Mo., Bernice Pyle of Campbell, Sharon McElwrath of Holcomb, Mo., and Terry Williams of Bunker, Mo. two sisters and one brother, two grandchildren Ramona Renee Rainwater of Cape Girardeau and Robert Anthony Oliver of Malden; three great-granchildren Brittany, Ashley and Bailey; 14 step-grandchildren and seven great-greatgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, one brother, and two step-children, Travis Williams and Carolyn Hatton.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, at Landess Funeral Chapel in Campbell with the Rev. Tony Wood officiating.
Burial was in Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton.
