Ruth Ann Carnell, 73, of Kennett, died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003, at her residence.
Born April 6, 1930, Hemp Hill Bottom Mo., daughter of the late Jacob Arthur and Millie Moore Lance, she was employed at Logli Supermarket in Rockford, Ill., where she retired. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Kennett.
On May 25, 1946, in Piggott, Ark., she married Harrison Andrew Carnell, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by two children, Michael and Donna; twin grandsons, Matthew and Mark; eight brothers, Clarence, Louis (Bud), Vernie, Chester, Leck, Melvin, Joe and Frank and two sisters, Cordie Woods and Gertrude.
Survivors include one son, Jerry D. Carnell and wife, Ellie, of Kennett; two daughters, Pam Hanson and husband, Arne, of Beloit, Wis. and Sheena Brown and husband Earnie, of Kennett; one sister, Geneva Rogers and husband, Bobby, of Kennett; grandchildren, Tony, Thomas and Charitie Von Ruden, Donald Davis, Dana Carnell, Heather Walker and Clifford Brown, all of Kennett, Dawn Cofield and Kristen and Josh Carnell, all of Rockford, Jackie Baxter, of Green Bay, Wis. and Candy and Elizabeth Davis and Roger Turner, Jr., all of Beloit; 27 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30, at McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ed Jansson officiating.
Burial will folow at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett.
Pallbearers were Randall Scott, Jeffery Carnell, Gary, Gerald and Phillip Lance, David Jones, Jackie Jackson and Greg Akers.
