Ralph S. Shelton, 86, of Malden, Mo., died Monday, Nov. 24, 2003, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Mo.
Born Jan. 2, 1917, in Malden, son of the late John and Ola Roots Shelton, he was a farmer and attended the First General Baptist Church in Malden.
On May 21, 1937, in Malden, he married Vivian Kitrel, who survives.
Survivors also include one son, Jerry Shelton and wife, Sally, of Las Vegas, Nev.; four brothers, Howard and Russell Shelton, both of Cape Girardeau, Mo., John Shelton, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. and David Shelton, of Dexter; three sisters, Ruby Kitrel, of Dexter, Agnes Blake, of Malden and Rosie Allen, of Aid, Mo.; two granddaughters, Debra VanWagner, of Gaithersburg, Md. and Jeri Lea Leddon, of Springfield, Va. and five great-grandchildren, Katie Lea, Justin Tyler and Rebecca Leddon and Svetiana and Eugenia VanWagner.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, Nov. 26, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Malden.
Burial was in the Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden.
