Charles L. Brodie, 51, of Kennett, died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2003, at his home.
Born Sept. 26, 1952, in Steele, Mo., he was a son of the late James and Vanilla Hawthorn Brodie. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Deloise and Ben Brodie.
He is survived by his wife, Josephine Brodie; two daughters, Ernestine and Knoswala Brodie; seven stepchildren, Sylvester Artis, Jr., JoAnne Jackson, Odess Artis, Lewis Howard, Robert Simmons, Odell Simmons and Gerald Artis; two brothers, Andrew Brodie and wife, Earline, of Lansing, Mich. and Johnny Brodie of California; six sisters, Thelma Earl and husband, Jerry, Earnestine Sanders and Alice Brodie of Lansing, Jessie Cammon and Pearlie Pickings of Kennett, and Daisy Amerson and husband, Ralph, of Caruthersville, Mo.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, at Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with Ralph Amerson officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett.
