Jerry Lynn Brantley, 70, of Pocahontas, Ark., died Nov. 13, 2003, at Regional Medical Center of NEA.
Born Jan. 15, 1933, in Caruthersville, son of the late Will and Emma Young Brantley, he attended Caruthersville schools, a member of Trinity Baptist Church of Dyersburg, Tenn. and was in construction prior to his retirement.
On Nov. 7, 1997, in Pocahontas, he marred Reba Terrett who survives.
Survivors also include four sons, Michael Don Brantley, of Oakland, Ill., Terry Lynn Brantley and Mark Shane Brantley, both of Caruthersville and Matthew O'Neal Brantley, of Pocahontas; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Dean Brantley; two brothers, Carl W. and Fred Eugene Brantley and three sisters, Loyce Warren, Shirley Ann Nolan and Martha Lou Alston.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16, at Wesleyan Church in Caruthersville with the Rev. Kenny Lee officiating.
Burial was in Maple Cemetery at Caruthersville.
H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville was in charge of services.
Pallbearers were Charlie Oatsvall, Rick Brantley, Harold V. Nolen, II, Tim Brantley, Carl Oatsvall, Randy Nolen and Ron Smith.
