Velma Lucille Fox, 93, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Friday, Nov. 14, 2003, at Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems in Hayti, Mo.
Born Sept. 11, 1910, at Pascola, Mo., daughter of the late Charley H. and Elzie Mae Hopper Adams, she attended Hayti schools and was a member of First Christian Church.
On Aug. 26, 1928, in Blytheville, Ark., she married Wilson Fox.
Survivors include two sons, G.W. Gox and Ronnie Fox, both of Caruthersville; two daughters, Shirley Fox, of Caruthersville and Peggy Fox Johnson ,of Piggott, Ark., one brother, Willard Adams, of Bernie, Mo.; six grandchilren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, John W. Adams and three sisters, Mary Frances Pride, Stella Clutts and Ruby Adams.
Funeral services were held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 17, at H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Caruthersville with the Rev. Steve McFadden officiating.
Burial was in Little Prairie Cemtery at Caruthersville.
Pallbearers were Kevin Kahoun, Jim Abbey, Woody Sigmin, Jim South, Bill Simmons and John Law, II.
