Joe Bob Coppage, 88, of Braggadocio, Mo., died on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2003 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Osceola, Ark.
Born on July 3, 1915 in Braggadocio, a son of the late Earl M. and Dorothy Collins Coppage, he was in farming and other agricultural related business interests and a member of the Braggadocio Baptist Church.
On April 19, 1934 in Luxora, Ark., he married Marie Long, who preceded him in death in 1997.
Survivors include three daughters, Jo Ree King and Beth C. Stone, both of Memphis, Tenn., and Kaye McKaskle of Braggadocio, Mo.; six grandchildren, Edward M. King IV, Joe Bob King, Clifton Stone, Marie Coppage Stone and Anne Marie Goad, all of Memphis, Tenn., and Emily Ellis of Blytheville, Ark.; five great grandchildren, Stephen Ellis, Coppage Ellis, and Clinton Ellis, all of Blytheville, Ark., and Tyler Goad and Edward M. King, both of Memphis, Tenn.; and one sister, Dorothy Long of Braggadocio.
Private graveside services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 7 at the Little Prairie Cemetery in Caruthersville, Mo., with Rev. Dr. Paul Currie officiating.
The H.S. Smith Funeral Home was in charge of the services.
