Dessie Ethridge

Dessie Lee Ethridge, 67, of Hornersville, Mo., died Friday, Nov. 7, 2003 at her residence.

Born on April 12, 1936 in Hornersville, a daughter of the late Howard and Francis Mogers Pate, she was a nurses aid and a member of the Baptist Church in Hornersville.

On March 8, 1954 in Kennett, she married Charles A. Ethridge, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include one son, Steve Ethridge of Beebe, Ark.; one daughter, Debra Whitlock of Senath, Mo.; three sisters, Dorothy Grimsley of Wauchula, Fla., Diann Johnson, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and Waynoma Fort of Paducah, Ky.; four grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 10 at the Hornersville Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Clinton officiating.

Burial was in the Horner Cemetery in Hornersville.
