Geneva Pruett, 77, of Rector, Ark., died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003, at Rector Health Care.
Born Feb. 17, 1926, in the Ebenezer Community of Clay County, daughter of the late Omer and Callie Shannon, she was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
She married Laverne A.J. Pruett, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one son, Ronnie Pruett and one sister, Opal Thompson.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Pruett and wife, Glenda and Joey Pruett and wife, Janice, all of Rector; one daughter, Deana Mills and husband, Perry, of Rector; one brother, Orlie Shannon, of Jonesboro, Ill.; one sister, Mary Layer, of Jonesboro, Ark.; six grandchildren, Leteceia Dooley, Amy Ward, Nathan and Matt Mills, Sarah Howell and Kyle Pruett, all of Rector and four great-grandchildren, Ariel and Evan Dooley, Shelby Ward and Ashlyn Mills, all of Rector.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3, at the First Baptist Church in Rector with Ardell Polk and Kenny Burns officiating.
Burial was in the Woodland Heights Cemetery at Rector.
Mitchell Funeral Home of Rector was in charge of arrangements.
