Billy Wayne Lafferty, 55, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Born Jan. 31, 1948, in Caruthersville, a son of the late Grover Cleveland Lafferty, Jr. and Joyce Martha Turnbow Lafferty, he was a crane operator at Trinity Barge Fabrication in Caruthersville and a member of Kinfolks Ridge Baptist Church.
On April 29, 1978, in Caruthersville, he married Ramona Frances Littles, who survives.
Other survivors include four children, Paul Wayne Lafferty, Bobby Lee Lafferty and Courtney Cheyenne Lafferty all of Cauthersville, and Terry Lynn Lafferty of Michigan; one sister, Betty Leek and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were 1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, at Kinfolks Ridge Baptist Church with the Revs. Jimmy Johnson and Troy Alley officiating.
Burial was in Maple Cemetery at Caruthersville.
Pallbearers were Tommy Woods, Robert Malin, Danny Taylor, J.D. Hudgens, Jr., Rick Walker and Chris Avis.
H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Carutherville was in charge of services.
