James Rasberry, 79, of Kennett, died Friday, Oct. 24, 2003, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born May 13, 1924, in Delaplaine, Ark., son of the late James Barney Rasberry and Rethey Ida Wheeler, he was owner and operator of James Rssberry Auto Sales.
On Aug. 21, 1952, he maried Laura Peel, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include two sons, David James Rasberry and Jimmy Don Rasberry and wife, Barbara Jean, all of Kennett; one brother, William Cloyis Rasberry, of Matthews, Mo.; one sister, Esta lee Rasberry, of Kennett and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Doyle Rasberry.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with Spencer Furby officiating.
Burial was in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers were Jimmy, David and Billy Joe Rasberry, Phyllis Rasberry Moore, Dennis Daughtery and Joe Slicer.
Honorary pallbearers were Terry Davis, Dale Crawford, Dale Graham, Ronald Rasberry, Howard Tittle, Herbert McRill, Bob Holder, Hershel Tucker, Dub Reeves, Herman Evans and the Sr. Adult Class of Slicer St. Church of Christ.
