Hamilton Parks Goff, 74, of Clarkton, Mo., died Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2003, at his residence.
Born July 20, 1929, in Dyer County, Tenn., son of the late Harrison S. and Lessie Riddle Goff, he was a U.S. Marine veteran and was an employee of the city of Clarkton. He attended the Faith Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include his wife, Christine Goff, of Clarkton; one son, Steven Joe Goff and wife, Retha, of Clarkton; two sisters, Frankie Hawkins, of Haywood, Calif. and Onie Seals, of Cherokee Village, Ark.; one brother, James Goff, of Deer Park, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Tamberley Goff, of Clarkton, Steven Parks Goff, of Three Rivers, Mich. and Joanne Grays, of Caruthersville, Mo. and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four sisters, Ruth Bullington, Estelle Green, Floella Brown and Bea Lawrence and one brother, Elsie Goff.
Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. today, Thursday, Oct. 16, at the Hurricane Hill Cemetery in Newbern, Tenn. with the Rev. Priscilla Riley officiating.
Pallbearers were Mike Johnson, Dewey Coomer, Rev. Cecil Riley, Jerry Davis, James Ray Davis and Clyde Barron.
Johnson Funeral Home of Newbern was in charge of arrangements.
