June McNees

June Aileen McNees, 82, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2003, at her residence.

Born June 9, 1921, in Caruthersville, daughter of the late Charles and Virginia Swanner Wilks, she was a sales clerk and of the Methodist faith.

She married Oscar Wesley McNees, who preceded her in death on March 6, 1973.

Survivors include one daughter, Carol Pearson, of Caruthersville; two grandsons, John Pearson, of Ft. Worth, Texas and Michael McNees, of Caruthersville and a number of other relatives.

Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at the Little Prairie Cemetery in Caruthersville with the Rev. Dwight Chapman officiating.

H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville was in charge of arrangements.
