Von Thurston Walker, 61, of Gosnell, Ark., died Friday, Oct. 10, 2003, at the Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.
Born Feb. 9, 1941, in Caruthersville, Mo., son of the late Guy and Pauline Bruton Walker, he was a maintenance worker at the Randall Co. in Blytheville, Ark. and was of the Methodist faith.
On April 12, 1969, in Blytheville, he married Georgia George, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include one daughter, Angie W. Sellers, of Caruthersville; four step-children, Gene Curtis and Lona Merrymon, both of Blytheville, Dixie Curtis, of Little Rock, Ark. and Jimmie Curtis, of Midway, Ark.; one sister, Kay Winters, of Mount Holly, N.C. and six grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, at the Maple Cemetery in Caruthersville with the Rev. Kenny Lee officiating.
Pallbearers were Frankie, Wesley and Cecil O. Poff, Bruce Brown, Tien Van Quach and Don Stallings.
H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville was in charge of arrangements.
