Velvetta Elaine Brown, 54, of Kennett, died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2003, at Punkin Center, Mo.
Born Sunday, Feb. 27, 1949, in Holcomb, Mo., daughter of Windford Hershel Woodall, of Sikeston, Mo. and Velma Geraldine Wheeling Woodall, of Holcomb, she was a homemaker and a member of the Glad Tidings Pentecostal Holiness Church in Kennett.
On Aug. 7, 1998, in Holcomb, she married Carl Brown, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include four sisters, Peggy Streward, of Punkin Center, Lois Meiers, of Apollo Beach, Fla., Patsy Weaver, of Holcomb and Deronda Greer, of Kennett; two brothers, Garry Allen Woodall, of Potosi, Mo. and Winford Dewayne Woodall, of Clarkton, Mo.; one step-son, Rodney Brown, of New York City, N.Y.; one step-daughter, Joy Asbury, of Holly, Mich. and four step-grandchildren, Alyssa and Anthony Asbury and Nathaniel and Jesica Brown.
Funeral services were 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, at the Bradshaw Funeral Chapel in Kennett wit the Rev. Charles Avants officiating.
Burial was in the Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton.
Pallbearers were Kyle Steward, Rodney Woodall, Sr., Josh Greer, Donnie Talley II, Andrew Freeman and Ronnie Smith, Jr.
Honorary pallbearers were Cory Woodall, Matthew Woodall, Keith Steward, and Rev. Eugene Dennis.
