Ethel Hicks, 89, of Risco, Mo., died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2003 at her residence.
Born on June 4, 1914 in Gideon, Mo., a daughter of the late Willis Sherman and Florance Etta Sturby Lott, she was a homemaker.
On February 26, 1935 she married Comer Hicks, who preceded her in death in 1969.
Survivors include: one son, Doyle Hicks and wife, Janie, of Risco; two grandchildren, Misty Murphy and Christi Pipkin, both of Risco; four great grandchildren, Kelsey and Kassidy Murphy and Ethan and Evan Pipkin, all of Risco; two sisters, Grace Barham and Jennie Masters, both of St. Louis, Mo.; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Wanda Lee Hicks, one great granddaughter, Samantha Murphy, one sister, Pearline Hall and two brothers, George and Howard Lott.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9 at the Landess Funeral Home in Malden.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 10 at the Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden, with the Rev. Mark Powell officiating.
Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden.
