Marilyn Ruth Mills, 75, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2003, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born Sept. 25, 1928, in Caruthersville, daughter of the late Malcolm Lester and Ruby Cowen Clark, she was a cook and in the restaurant business. She was a member of the Kinfolks Ridge Baptist Church.
On May 31, 1947, in Piggott, Ark., she married Murry J. Mills, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include two sons, James Malcolm Mills, of Judsonia, Ark. and Philip Murry Mills, of Caruthersville; two daughters, Wanda Faye Hudgens and Marilyn Irene Talley, both of Caruthersville; one brother, Marion "Buddy" Clark, of Caruthersville; 20 grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Brenda Walton.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 6, at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Caruthersville with the Rev. James Mills officiating.
Burial was in the Maple Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Johnny Moore, Gene Walton, Jeremy Mills, Keith Creekmore, Shawn Mills and James M. Mills, Jr.
Honorary pallbearers were nephews.
