William Ewing Clifton, 75, of Henry, Tenn., died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003, at his residence.
Born March 29, 1928, in Bruceton, Tenn., son of the late Robert Lee and Mary Ann Towsand Clifton, he was a retired truck driver.
Survivors include two daughters, Melissa Clark, Grand Junction, Mich. and Diane Spicher, of Fayetteville, Tenn.; one step-daughter, Sue Martelli, of San Diego, Calif.; one son, William L. Clifton, of Campbell, Mo.; one brother, Wayne Clifton, of Prattville, Ala.; one sister, Frances Garrigus, of Paris, Tenn.; a special friend, Dorothy Travis, of Paris; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Mae Clifton; one daughter, Sharon F. Weir; five brothers, Hurbert, W.G., J.T., Gene and Odell Clifton and two sisters, Gertrude Gunn and Louise French.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27 and 9.a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28, at the Brummitt Funeral Home in McKenzie, Tenn.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28, at the Brummitt Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at the Henry Cemetery.
