Ella Williams

Ella Marie Williams, 75, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2003 at her residence.

Born on June 24, 1928 in Holland, Mo., a daughter of the late Dewey Cunningham and Hettie Hatton Cunningham, she was a member of the Assembly of God in Caruthersville.

On June 13, 1936 in Blytheville, Ark., she married Willis W. "Bill" Williams, who preceded her in death on April 4, 2001.

Survivors include one son, Ralph E. Williams and wife, Carole, of Caruthersville; two daughters, Carolyn Williams and husband, Frank, of Kennett and Debby Boyce of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; one brother, J.B. Cunningham of Steele, Mo.; and three sisters, Ivy Willburn of Huntsville, Ala., Maxine Watkins of Booneville, Miss., and Mary Gillon of Festus, Mo.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia Ann.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 18, at the Assembly of God in Caruthersville, with Rev. Larry Griffin officiating.

Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele.

Pallbearers were James N. Stokley, D.V. McKillip, Freddie Parker, Robert Guest, Charlie Jones and Robert Ray.
