Maudie Lee Williams, 75, of Big Sandy, Tenn., formerly of Caruthersville, Mo., died Monday, Sept. 1, 2003, at Big Sandy.
Born Oct. 25, 1927, in Savannah, Tenn., daughter of the late James M. and Callie Eugenia Humphrey Reed, she worked for Brunton's Upholstery and Brown Shoe Company.
Survivors include two daughters, Almeda J. Holcomb and husband, William, of Big Sandy and Vicki L. Weatherly, of Kennett; two sons, Alvie D. Williams and wife, Donna, of Lexington, Ky. and Stephen D. Williams, of Big Sandy; one brother, Buster Reed, of Jonesville, La.; 11 grandchildren, Laura L. Merillo and Tracy M. Jones, both of Big Sandy, Bobby Bosier, Jr., of Washington, D.C., William P. Holcomb, of New Llano, La., A. Daniel Williams, of Covington, La., Lisa D. LaFleur, of Picayune, Miss., David M. Williams, of Kansas City, Kan., Christopher E. Williams. of Covington, Ky., Kimberly S. Williams, of Arlington, Texzas, Amie Bolin, of Kennett and Lauren M. Weatherly, of Hayti, Mo.; 16 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, at the John W. German Funeral Home chapel in Hayti with Dr. Mike Melton officiating.
Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Hayti.
