Owen Harmon, 69, of Kennett, died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2003 at his residence.
Born April 16, 1934 in Rector, Ark., he was the son of the late Ezra "Doc" and Nettie Elizabeth Clark Harmon.
On May 5, 1955 he married Louise Book, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include five children, Lynette Simpson and husband, Jim, of Nevada, Sheila Sugden and husband, Kris, of Columbia, Tenn., Penny Keating and husband, Steve, of Durrand, Mich., Aldon Harmon Jr., of Kennett, Hope Harmon and husband, Jack, of Oklahoma City, Okla; two sisters, Geraldine Muherin and Wilma Read, both of Flint, Mich.; two brothers, Raymond Harmon, of Memphis, Tenn. and Danny Harmon of Knob, Ark.; 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Geneva Ward.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today, Friday, Sept. 12 at the Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Ark.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, at the Hoggard & Sons Chapel with Ray Book officiating.
Burial will follow at the Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway, Ark.
Pallbearers will be Lee and Brooke Pruitt, E.J. Harmon, Brad Keating, Stephanie Keating, Cathy Poyner, Judy Templeton, Dennis Templeton and Reginia Sawyer.
