Brady Holland, 86, of Caruthersville, Mo., formerly of Cardwell, Mo., died Monday, Sept. 8, 2003, at his residence.
Born Nov. 8, 1916, in Senath, Mo., son of the late J.E. and Eula Hall Holland, he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in WWII and a member of the First Baptist Church in Caruthersville.
On Oct. 11, 1946, in Hornersville, Mo., he maried Sue Finley, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include one son, Lannie Holland and wife, Dianne, of Nashville, Tenn.; Carol Thompson and husband, Kevin, of Paragould, Ark.; two brothers, Raymond Holland, of Phoenix, Ariz. and James Brain Holland, of Stockton, Calif.; three grandchildren, Brent, April and Lance Thompson; one great-grandchild and one step-granddaughter, Christi Handley.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Elmer Holland and three sisters, Louise Holland, Betty Jo Yielding and Opal Karnes.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, Sept. 10, at the First Baptist Church in Caruthersville with the Revs. James Adams and Clyde Cook officiating.
Burial was in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers were Wayne Brantley, Earl Bullington, Lonnie Cagle, Jim DeReign, Dr. Doug Fitzwater and John Sellers.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Caruthersville, Mo. or the American Cancer Society.
McDaniel Funeral Home of Kennett was in charge of arrangements.
