William Arthur Bailey, 67, of Holland, Mo., died Thursday, Sept. 4, 2003 in Marion, Ill.
Born April 5, 1936 in Tupelo, Miss., son of the late Gordon and Mary Pardue Bailey, he was a plumber and electrician. He was of the Baptist faith.
On June 12, 1959, in Caruthersville, Mo., he married Sue Culp, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include one son, Gary Bailey and wife, Becky, of Holland; one daughter, Lisa McMahan and husband, Mike, of Maryville, Tenn.; one grandson, Josh Bailey, of Blytheville, Ark., two granddaugthers, Garrett and Kelsey Bailey, both of Holland; two brothers, Ray Bailey, of Creal Springs, Ill. and J.L. Bailey, of Memphis, Tenn., and two sisters, Ruby Pope, of Sault Sainte Marie, MI. and Betty Renfro, of Steele, Mo.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Corene Deaton.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Tuesday, Sept. 9, at the Bradshaw-Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Steele, with Wally Scaife officiating.
Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery at Steele.
