Derinda Ann Pendergrass, 23, of Blytheville, Ark., formerly of Caruthersville, Mo., died Monday, Sept. 1, at Blytheville.
Born May 30, 1980, at Hayti, Mo., a daughter of Keith Pendergrass and Dixie Fletcher Forsythe, she was a graduate of Caruthersville High School in 1999 and worked at Ipsco Tubular Steel.
Survivors include her father, Keith Pendergrass of Caruthersville and mother and step-father, Dixie and Troy Forsythe of Steele, Mo., two sisters, Laura Dickey of Steele and Debra White and husband, Terry, of Newbern, Tenn.; one brother, David Pendergrass of Caruthersville; one step-sister, Savannah Forsythe of Hickman, Ark.; two step-brothers, Stephen Forsythe of Hickman and Jeffrey Forsythe of Tyler, Mo., grandparents, Helen Smith of Caruthersville and Albert and Delphine Pendergrass of Caruthersville.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Sterling Fletcher and Jim Smith.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, at the Wesleyan Church in Caruthersville with the Rev. Kenny Lee officiating.
Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery in Hayti, under direction of John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti.
Pallbearers were Mary Beth Garner, Valarie Malin, Kenny Garrett, Chris Phelps, Jeffrey Forsythe and Stephen Forsythe.
