Hardie Craft

Hardie "Ollie" Craft, 76, of Kennett, died Monday, Aug. 18, 2003, at his residence.

Born Nov. 28, 1926, in Swinton, Mo., son of the late Hardie B. and Ella Mae Underwood Craft, he served the City of Kennett as a councilman and was a member of the Planning Commission and Dunklin County Ambulance Board. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Past Master of Kennett Lodge No. 38 and a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason.

On Nov. 22, 1950, he married Vera Cooper, who survives of the home.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, Aug. 20, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Ed Jansson officiating.

Burial was in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers were Bob Redman, James Lowry, Tommy Striegel, Mike Hunter, Don Wall and Tom Kinsey.

Lois Ellis

Lois Wiedeman Ellis, 58, of Kennett, died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2003, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Born May 5, 1945, in Detroit, Mich., she was the daughter of Julie Kindakor Wiedeman, of Paragould, Ark. and the late Richard Wiedeman.

Survivors also include one daughter, Jerry Lyn Ellis, of Kennett; one half-brother, Phillip Wiedeman, of California. and companion, Ron Hill, of Kennett.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today, Wednesday, Aug. 20, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Duane Dutka officaiting.

Burial was in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers were Gary Hill, Ronnie Hill, Jr., Lonnie Hyde, Ken Lawrence, Phillip Wiedman and Gary Medley.

Randall Pippins

Randall Evan "Moe" Pippins, 45, of Poplar Bluff, Mo, died Monday, Aug.18, 2003, at his residence.

Born Jan. 29, 1958, in St. Charles, Ill., son of Marie Pippins of Bernie, Mo. and the late Arthur Alta Pippins.

Survivors also include one son, Brian Randall Pippins, of Elgin, Ill.; one daughter, Jaime Marie Owsley, of Elgin,; four brothers, Phillip Pippins, of Arnold, Mo., Jeff Pippins, of Bernie, Gregory Pippins, of Dexter, Mo. and Kirk Pippins, of Springdale, Ark.; four sisters, Bonnie Mitchem, of Ironwood, Mich., Barbara Lamar, of Malden, Mo., Lisa Mahlum and Linda Aguilar, both of Bernie and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Michael Boyt.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home Chapel in Bernie with the Rev. Dale Hartle officiating.

Jack Rhine

Jack Rhine, 72, of Gideon, Mo., died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2003, at his residence. Funeral arrangements are incomplete with the Bradshaw Funeral Home of Giedon.

veteran Duke Still

Duke Still, 77, of Steele, Mo., died Monday, Aug. 18, 2003 at the Methodist Hospital in Dyersburg, Tenn.

Born Sept. 21, 1925 in Steele, son of the late Allie Bud and Bessie Frakes Still, he was a U.S. Army veteran, a farmer and a member of the Church of Christ.

On June 12, 1942 in Blytheville, Ark., he married Alma R. Jones, who survives of the home.

Survivors also include two daughters, Paula Mahon, of Dyersburg and Claudia Still, of Decatur, Ala.; two sons, Glenn Still, of Dyersburg and Kevin Still, of Caruthersville, Mo.; eight grandchildren, Claudia, Lindsay, Sarah, and Glenna Still, Paul Lynn, Therr and Tad Nowlin and Lani Davidson and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.

Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, Aug. 20, at the Bradshaw-Powell Funeral Home in Steele.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, at the Bradshaw-Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Hargraves officiating.

Burial will follow at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele.
