Jack Rhine, 73, of Gideon, Mo., died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2003 at his residence.
Born Nov. 9, 1929 in Bakersfield, Mo., son of the late Willie and Edna Anderson Rhine, he was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Korean War, a farmer and a member of the Bethel Assembly of God Church in Gideon.
On Oct. 20, 1956, in Hernando, Miss., he married Betty Jean Revelle, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include three sons, Mike Rhine, of Malden, Mo., Steven Rhine of Gideon and Jeffery Rhine and wife, Margo, of Glennonville, Mo.; one daughter, Kathy DePew and husband, Larry, of Campbell, Mo.; two brothers, Cecil Rhine and wife, Betty, of Jonesburg, Mo., and Gary Rhine and wife, Linda, of Malden; five sisters, Jewell Fisher, of Bell City, Mo., Illine Boyet and Nola Gilkey and husband, Roy, all of Gideon, Ann Morris and husband, Delmar, of Kennett and Geneva Branch and husband, Burton, of Arnold, Mo.; four grandchildren, Amber Blurton, of Warner Robins, Ga., Christopher Rhine, of Portageville, Mo., John DePew, of Campbell and Chad DePew, of Kennett; and two great-grandchildren, Zach DePew, of Kennett and Haylie Blurton, of Warner Robins.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today, Thursday, Aug. 21, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Gideon.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22, at the Bethel Assembly of God Church in Gideon with Revs. Mike Kohlbaker and Frank Dunbar officiating.
Burial will follow at the Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton, Mo.
