Jerry Bost

Jerry Bost, 67, of Kennett, died today, Friday, Aug. 29, 2003, at his residence.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete with the McDaniel Funeral Home of Kennett.

Sammy Brown

Sammy Lee Brown, 62, of Kennett, died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2003, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.

Born March 10, 1941, in Amirillo, Ark., he was the son of the late Sam Brown and Ethel Walker Brown Rose.

On Feb. 17, 1981, he married Rosie May Brown, who survives of the home.

Survivors also include two sons, Billy Brown and David Brown and wife, Cynthia, all of Kennett; two daughters, Brenda and Betty Brown, both of Kennett; five brothers, Tommy Brown and wife, Loretta, of Louisville, Ky., Frank Rose and wife, Dorothy, of Gobler, Mo., T.J. Rose and wife, Laura, of Mango Grove, Mo., Daniel Rose and wife, Darlean, of Caruthersville, Mo. and Alexander Rose and wife, Janice, of Boston, Mass.; two sisters, Lillie Rose, of Kennett and Ida Childress, of Mango Grove; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 31, at the Community Temple Church of God in Christ in Kennett with Bishop Luke Robinson officiating

Burail will follow at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett.

Pallbearers were Billy, David and Joey Brown.

R.D. Burgess

R.D. "Bunt" Burgess, 64, of Holcomb, Mo., died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2003, at the University Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

Born May 21, 1939, in Arbyrd, Mo., he was the son of the late Gene and Mary Hamlett Burgess.

On Nov. 9, 1960, he married Barbara Danels, who survives of the home.

Survivors also include one son, Jackie Burgess and wife, Pam, of Holcomb; one daughter, Tina Bazzell and husband, Jeff, of Kennett; one brother, Eddie Burgess and wife, Carolyn, of Kennett; two sisters, Vickie Sams and husband, Wally, of Kennett and Joy Folkes, of Chesnang, Mich.; four grandchildren, Jake and Tiffani Burgess, Trey Bazzell and Casey Volz and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Aug. 29, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Dale Rickman and Allen Massey officiating.

Burial was in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers were Gerald Lance, Billy Paul Hogan, Tom Taylor, Kerry Ragins, Jerry Laster, Terry and Keith Scott and Sonny Wimberly.

Honorary pallbearers were Terry Collins, Joe and Charles Martin and John, Larry and Buddy Robbins.

Dolah Lemonds

Dolah Lemonds, 91, of Campbell, Mo., formerly of Kennett, died Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2003, at Campbell General Baptist Nursing Center in Campbell, Mo.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 31, at the Friendship Baptist Church.

Burial will follow at the Sumach Cemetery in Holcomb, Mo.

Damous Marlow

Damous Naomi Marlow, 95, of Winnemucca, Nev., formerly of Kennett, died Sunday Aug. 24, 2003, at the Humboldt General Hospital in Winnemucca.

Born July 5, 1908, in Kennett, daughter of the late Frank and Maudie Mae Dobkins Wilburn, she was employed at Women's Hospital in Flint, Mich, before retiring in 1973.

She married James Henry Marlow, who preceded her in death in 1978.

Survivors include one daughter, Betty Aboud, of Winnemucca; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 29, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Don Sherrin officiating.

Burial was in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.

Millie Reasons

Millie Reasons, 88, of Kennett, died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2003, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Born May 2, 1915, in Lake County, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Abenathy Davidson and Laura Ann Rowe.

She married Douglas Reasons, who preceded her in death on July 3, 1983. She was also preceded in death by one brother and five sisters.

Survivors include three sons, Charles Mealer, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., William R. "Buddy" Mealer, of San Antonio, Texas and Gary W. Mealer, of Paragould, Ark.; three daughters, Margaret Griffin, of Dry Prong, La., Emma Jean Tucker, of Clarkton, Mo. and Paula Tucker, of Kennett; two sisters, Mabel Duncan, of Campbell, Mo. and Estelle Thomas, of St. Louis, Mo.; 18 grandchildren and several great and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Friday, Aug. 29, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Emery officiating.

Burial will follow at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett.

Pallbearers are Joe Bobbitt, Bobby Tucker, Michael Ward, Michael Ward, Jr., Larry Phelps and Billy Joe Medley.

Melinda Webber

Melinda Louise Webber, 29, of Clarkton, Mo., died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2003, at Three Rivers Healthcare North in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Born May 15, 1974, in Lexington, Ky., daughter of David Duty, of Charleston, Mo. and the late Edith Hogan Duty, she was a surrogate mother and of the Baptist faith.

On June 21, 1994, in Piggott, Ark., she married Michael Webber, who survives of the home.

Survivors also include two daughters, Chelsea and Donna Webber, of Clarkton.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Friday, Aug. 28, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden, Mo.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Satruday, Aug. 30, at the Badshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Roger Fowler and Wayne Gilmore officiating.

Burial will follow at the Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton.
