Pearl L. Glowner, 83, of Gideon, Mo., died Wednesday, May 21, 2003, at Gideon Care Center in Gideon.
Born March 1, 1920, in Nutbush, Tenn., a daughter of the late Avery and Daisy Lillian Stanley Vaughn, she was of the Baptist faith.
On Feb. 3, 1972, in Caruthersville, Mo., she married Elmer Glowner who preceded her in death Feb. 5, 1994.
Survivors include two daughters, Pauline Goforth of Caruthersville and Janice Burnett of Gideon; two sons, Marvin Moore and Johnny Jackson both of Ripley, Tenn.; one brother, Doss Vaughn of Henning, Tenn.; one sister, Minnie Jackson of Ripley; 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Bobby Prescott and Billy Joe Moore; a daughter, Ann Cooper; two brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Friday, May 23, in the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Caruthersville with the Rev. Cleo Payne officiating.
Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery at Steele, Mo.
Pallbearers were Terry McCloud, J.J. Wicker, Billy Wicker, Brandon Ballard, Clayton Dorris and Earl Thomas Bates. Sylvia Samples
Sylvia Samples, 88, of Kennett, formerly of Holcomb, Mo., died Friday, May 23, 2003, at Heritage Nursing Center in Kennett.
Visitation is 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., today, Sunday, May 25, at McDaniel Funeral Service Chapel in Kennett.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Monday, May 26, in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett.
