Robert E. Duty, 74, of Transylvania, La., formerly of Cardwell, Mo., died Monday, June 2, 2003, at the Olive Branch Care Center in Tallulah, La.
Born July 3, 1928, in Desha, Ark., son of the late Sherman and Ida Ferrell Duty, he was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Duty, of Transylvania; one daughter, Ida Lisa Boyers, of Seminole, Fla.; one step-son, Louis Harold Jones, of Oak Grove, La.; one step-daughter, LouAnn McDaniel, of Chandler, Texas; three brothers, Roger Dale Duty, of Arbyrd, Mo., Donald Ray Duty, of Elsinore, Calif. and Jerry Wayne Duty, of Mesa, Ariz.; two sisters, Dorothy Jean Lewis, of Vallejo, Calif. and Vondean Swink, of Tuscon, Ariz.; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Sherman "Bud" and William Duty and two sisters, Magdalene Hughes and Sarah Jane Lewis.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 12, at the Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Lake Providence, La. with the Rev. Stowe Harbin officiating.
Burial will follow at the Providence Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Freddy and Michael Eubanks, Nathan Lily, David Lee, Allen and Tomothy Duty and Ralph Wayne Lovell.
Dawsey Hollis, 83, of Puxico, Mo., died Tuesday, June 10, 2003, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.
Born March 14, 1920, in Bernie, Mo., son of the late Jim and Alma Virginia Hopgood Hollis, he was a farmer and a log hauler.
On July 22, 1939, in Gideon, Mo., he married Geneva McGinely, who preceded him in death on Nov. 23, 1990. He was also preceded in death by one son, William Dawsey Hollis; two daughters, Shirley Taylor and Geraldine McCarthy; three grandchildren; six brothers, three in infancy and Alec, Ralph and Frank Hollis and three sisters, Lillie Hollis, Juanita Shrum and Halcyon Sanders.
Survivors include two daughters, Rosie Luttrell, of Poplar Bluff, Mo. and Virginia Gray, of Malden, Mo.; one sister, Dicie Whiffen, of Poplar Bluff; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, June 11, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Mo.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 12, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow at the Bernie Cemetery.
Floyd Eugene Mangrum, 66, of Cardwell, Mo., died Sunday, June 8, 2003, at the Senath Nursing Home in Senath, Mo.
Born May 5, 1937, in Lauratown, Ark., son of the late Jesse Eugene and Eula Ingram Mangrum, he was an auto body repairman and a member of the Cochrum Church of Christ in Cardwell.
On Aug. 25, 1960, in St. Louis, Mo., he married Truley Barnes, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include two sons, Wendell Mangrum and wife, Josephine, of Jonesboro, Ark. and Richard Mangrum and wife, Tonya, of Paragould, Ark.; two daughters, Christina Dickerson and husband, James, of Carmi, Ill. and Kathi West and husband, David, of Baumholder, Germany; two brothers, Donald Mangrum, of Senath and Junior Mangrum, of Cardwell; two sisters, Jacqualyn Rice, of Paragould and Phyllis Mangrum, of Kennett and five grandchildren, Amy Mangrum, Joshua Dickerson, David Lee and Shelby West and Danielle Baily.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Jesse and James William Mangrum.
Visitation will begin at 7 p.m. today, Wednesday, June 11, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 12, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with Herbert Knight and Dwight Harrison officiating.
Burial will follow at the Cardwell Cemetery.

Minnie Catherine McGuire, 86, of Malden, Mo., died Tuesday, June 10, 2003, at the Malden Nursing Center.
Born March 21, 1917, in Hot Springs, Ark., daughter of the late David and Annie Beaton House, she was a homemaker and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Malden.
On Jan. 17, 1964, in Malden, she married Morris McGuire, who survives.

Christine Russell, 80, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., formerly of Qulin, Mo., died Tuesday, June 10, 2003, at Three Rivers Healthcare-North Campus in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Born Dec. 30, 1922, in Blytheville, Ark., daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson and Pearl James Davis, she was retired from the Shampaine Company in St. Louis, Mo. and was a member of the Lone Prairie Baptist Church.
On Sept. 2, 1939, in Caruthersville, Mo., she married James Hurscel Russell, who preceded her in death on June 11, 1985. She was also preceded in death by one great-granddaughter, Rebecca Jean Russell.
Survivors include one son, James E. Russell and wife, Gloria Jean, of Qulin; three grandchildren, James D. Russell, of Mitchell, Neb., David Lee Russell, of Poplar Bluff and Jessica Lynn Russell, of Qulin and nine great-grandchildren.

Louis Marvin Shinault, 77, of Steele, Mo., died Monday, June 9, 2003, at his residence.
Born June 17, 1925, in Arkansas, son of the late Louis Marvin Shinault, Sr. and Alvie Spears Shinault, he was a farm worker and a member of the Holland Baptist Church in Holland, Mo.
He married Sybil Geraldine Channell, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include three daughters, Vernell Puckett and husband, William, Kay Frances Capps and husband, Ronald and Reba Harris and husband, Michael; four sons, Everett Shinault and wife, Vivian, Chris and Bob Shinault and Frank Shinault and wife, Christa; three sisters, Lola Webb and husband, Fred, Martha Carrol and husband, Joe and Irene Akins and husband, J.D.; two step-sons, Jerry Scott and wife, Mary Jane and Dennis Scott and wife, Martha; four step-daughters, Doris Cash and husband, Dewey, Kay Bell and husband, Steve, Terri Bell and husband, Aubry and Veneda Green and husband, Steve; 30 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Genolia; one brother, Robert and one son, Martin Shinault.

Robina C. White, 86, of Kennett, died Monday, June 9, 2003, at the Baptist Nursing Home in Blytheville, Ark.
Born Nov. 2, 1916, in Newburn, Tenn., daughter of the late Allan Melvin and Ida Mae Luther Buchanan, she was a clerk in the dry goods business and a member of the Calvary Assembly of God Church in Kennett.
On Oct. 20, 1939, in Caruthersville, Mo., she married Paul T. White, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Donald Ray White, of Fremont, Calif. and Ronald Auther White, of Fort Worth, Texas; two sisters, Ruth Rodder, of St. Louis, Mo. and Billie Jean Caico, of St. Charles, Mo.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. today, Wednesday, June 11, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Myers officiating.
Burial was in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
