James W. Davis, 86, of Kennett, died Tuesday, June 17, 2003, at National Health Care in Kennett.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 19, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, June 20, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ed Jansson officiating.
Burial will follow at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett.
Bernadine Anna Deken, 81, of Qulin, Mo., died Tuesday, June 17, 2003, at the Mark Twain Caring Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Born Oct. 5, 1921, in Glennonville, Mo., daughter of the late George and Matilda Ronspiez Fortman, she was a homemaker, a member of the St. Teresa's Catholic Church, member of the St. Teresa's Alter Society and Diocese Council of Catholic Women. She was a Girl Scout neighborhood chaiman.
On Sept. 24, 1941, in Glennonville, she married William Joseph Deken, who preceded her in death on May 24, 1999. She was also preceded in death by one son, David Deken and three sisters, Christine Wallace, Pauline Rhodes and Dorothy Nilges.
Survivors include six daughters, Rosemary Pfeffer and husband, Lowell, of Campbell, Mo., Joan Barfield, of St. Louis, Mo., Margaret Deken and husband, Darrell and Patty Cates and husband, Daniel, all of Poplar Bluff, Lucy Walters and husband, Paul, of Foresthill, Calif. and Matilda Adams and husband, David, of Springfield, Ill.; five sons, Louis Deken and wife, Carol, of Tullahoma, Tenn., Gerald Deken and wife, Carolyn and Jim Deken and wife, Liz, all of Poplar Bluff and Tom Deken and wife, Peggy and Leonard Deken and wife, Regina, all of Glennonville; two sisters, Lucille Trunko, of St. Louis and Rosella Doss, of Bonne Terre, Mo.; one brother, Robert Fortman, of St. Louis; 32 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, June 19, at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell with Rosary at 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 20, at the St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Glennonville with Father Glenn Eftink officiating.
Burial will follow at the St. Teresa's Cemetery in Glennonville.
Memorials may be made to the St. Teresa's Building Fund, Rt. 1, Campbell, Mo.
Jessie Aline Wright, 81, of Kennett, died Tuesday, June 17, 2003, at National Health Care in Kennett.
