Edna McGee, 89, of Qulin,Mo., died Tuesday, June 17, 2003, at Three Rivers Healthcare-North Campus in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Born May 23, 1914, in Batesville, Ark., daughter of the late Edward G. and Fannie Margaret Case Ragle, she was a homemaker and a nurse's aide. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Qulin.
On Dec. 7, 1930, in Forrest City, Ark., she married Loyd McGee, Sr., who preceded her in death on Feb. 23, 1985.
Survivors include two sons, Loyd McGee, Jr., of Qulin and Jerry C. McGee, of Imperial, Mo.; four daughters, Margaret Robertson, of St. Louis, Mo., Dorothy DePriest and Christina Baker, both of Hazelwood, Mo. and Arlene Webb, of Qulin; two sisters, Ruth Ivie, of Cordova, Tenn. and Bobbie Finn, of West Memphis, Ark.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today, Thursday, June 19, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Campbell, Mo., with Brother Lynn Ham and the Rev. Don Mayo officiating.
Burial was in the Qulin Cemetery.
Goldie May Moore, 86, of Qulin, Mo., formerly of Malden, Mo., died Wednesday, June 18, 2003 at her residence.
Born July 16, 1916, in Batesville, Ark., daughter of the late John and Belinda Barnes Starr, she was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith.
On Aug. 29, 1931, in Malden, she married Alonzo Moore, who preceded her in death on Feb. 16, 1977. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Betty Chalfant; one son, Leman Moore; four grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; four brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include three daughters, Lou Crannick, of Festus, Mo. and Kathy Phillips and Linda Stanley, both of Malden; five sons, Johnny Moore, of Campbell, Mo., David and Gary Moore, both of Malden, Don Moore, of Wappapello, Mo. and Frank Moore, of Qulin; 39 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, June 20, at the Landess Funeral Home in Malden.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 21, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Wells officiating.
Burial will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden.
Jessie Aline Wright, 80, of Kennett, died Tuesday, June 17, 2003, at National Health Care in Kennett.
Born Dec. 26, 1922, in Poplar Bluff, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Myrtle Southerland Smith.
She married Roscoe Wright, who preceded her in death on Feb. 28, 1980. She was also preceded in death by five sons, Roscoe Jr., James, Jerry, Freddie and Roger Wright; three daughters, Diane and Sharon Kay Wright and Dorothy Tripp and two brothers, Lester and Murray Smith.
Survivors include one daughter, Pauline Evans, of Jeffersonville, Ind.; three grandchildren, Jennifer and Angela Wright and Lana Novak and two great-grandchildren, Jillian and Isaiah Novak.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today, Thursday, June 19, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Tom Smith officiating.
Burial was in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
